I have a unique perspective on my vet, as I know her on both a personal and professional basis. Dr. Petifurd has provided exemplary care for my pets, showing compassion and care to my animals at appointments, making "the vet" a fun and positive experience for them rather than scary. I have never had any other vet sit on the floor to play with my pets! I referred a friend to her who routinely teases this is the first vet they've ever had that makes their dog get excited when they say it's time to go to the vet. Dr
Petifurd has researched on her own time to figure out the most optimal care for both my pets, especially in the case of my cat who has had unique illnesses and issues, calling specialists and reading everything she could on the topic. Her hard work eventually led to stability for my cat, who means the world to me. When having to euthanize my previous dog, she made the experience comforting and gentle, helping my dog relax and giving us ideas to love and spoil her as we said goodbye. She gave us lots of time and undivided attention until we were ready. After going through many difficult euthanasias with childhood pets, this one by far was the most peaceful and comforting for both my dog and my family. Knowing the time, energy, and compassion she puts into each case, I would never take my pets anywhere else.
